At the World Economic Forum in Davos in 1999, the then UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, called on business to take global responsibility. Kofi Annan's initiative led to the formation of “The Global Compact” - ten principles on human rights, labor law issues, the environment and corruption aimed at companies. The principles are based on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Fundamental Conventions on Human Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration and the UN Convention against Corruption. Through its Möbelfakta certified products, Frapett has ensured that these and subcontractors comply with The Global Compact. In addition to this, Möbelfakta's certification includes requirements for a good working environment.
